Churba Engineering Limited specialises in delivering a range of services to rail.
We have provided technical expertise both to the client organisations such as Network Rail and Transport for London (Underground and Overground), as well as for Contractors such as Hyder, Carillion, Costain, Westfield and Multiplex.
Services we have successfully provided include the role of Contractors Engineering Manager for all types of rail projects, both on the infrastructure as well as buildings and services, such as Thameslink London Bridge Station Redevelopment, which is transforming the entire station while keeping the services running through and stopping at the station.
We have also provided Project and Systems Engineering assurance roles and management on projects, for example, for Network Rail as well as Transport for London projects, including the North London Line Upgrade, East London Line implementation of Phase 1A and enabling the test track in the ELL depot, providing the rail systems management for the building of the new Wood Lane sidings on the Central Line, and systems engineering assurance for Transport for London at Westfield Shepherds Bush – delivery of new and refurbished stations.
Sylvia Churba, Director of Churba Engineering Limited, has over 22 years of rail engineering management, including managing maintenance for the Central Line on London Underground, taking the role of Professional Head in Network Rail, working on wheel/rail interface investigations and resolution, and running major rail projects, and is both a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Member of the Institution of Railway Signalling Engineers.
